Jacqui Fehl is a distinguished mixed media artist whose work is known for its evocative, recognizable imagery and bold vibrancy.
Melding the playful charm of abstracted whimsy with the elegance of modern design, her work draws viewers in through a dynamic interplay of color, form, and texture. Jacqui’s creative process is intuitive yet intentional—often beginning with a loose idea that evolves through layers of discovery, leaving space for the viewer to bring their own story, memory, or emotional connection to the finished piece.
Working with paint, pastels, graphite, colored pencils, house paint, inks, and collage, she builds richly layered backgrounds through a process of adding, removing, covering, and revealing.
“It is a dance of layering on, taking away, and letting certain moments emerge,” she says. “I like my work to feel loose, a bit flawed, and not overly precise or perfect.”
The final step of every painting—after signing her name—is a deliberate splatter of ink or paint, a gesture that seals the piece with energy, movement, and a touch of spontaneity.

Built in layers of paint, pastels, ink, graphite and collage.
Origiclées
An archival giclée print, signed and embellished by hand with paint, pastels, colored pencil and sometimes collage.
Whimsical
Mixed Media Minis, Paper Prints and Metal Prints. Smaller, lighter pieces, each signed, and many embellished by hand.
